TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN
The Annual Dublin City Scooter Cruise is now in its 9th successive year and to date has raised over 20.000 euro [£16.000 approx] for the National Baby Care Unit in the Coombe Hospital. This is a unit which provides round the clock 24hr care for premature babies and babies in need of intensive care. As with all hospital services this unit is always in need of funding.
The cruise was started in 1995, and through the years has progressed and gained the support of numerous scooter shops, organisations, clubs and individuals. The 2001 cruise the first run by Celtic scooter promotions was an enormous success raising over £3000 .
WE HOPE WE CAN LOOK FORWARD TO YOUR SUPPORT IN THIS YEAR 2004
The aim of the Scooter Cruise is to provide some of this much needed funding. The Scooterists from Ireland and abroad have always supported this venture and have received outstanding co-operation from hospital staff and patients alike. As per usual the cruise will take place October 2004 and to this end we are now seeking sponsorship, donations and any publicity etc. to make this a success.
The weekend will involve a pre-cruise get together on the Friday VENUE T BA the cruise will take place on Saturday at 12pm, starting with a ride out through Dublin City Centre, finishing up at the Coombe Hospital where we will be met by the hospital staff, to be followed by charity raffle, ridden custom show and refreshments. The Saturday evening entertainment will be held as usual in the Ringside Club at the National Stadium (South Circular Road) where the trophies for the custom show will be handed out , This event will be all ticket due to the restrictions on the capacity of the hall. As usual we will expect a large turn out of local and European scooter clubs and individuals as over the years we have had riders from as far Afield as Switzerland and Germany, with the Liverpool Scooter Club also being regular fund raisers and attendees.
We do hope you can support this event in anyway possible as the Hospital will appreciated all help no matter how small. You may know someone who has used this unit in the past and can appreciate the brilliant work this specialists unit does.
Thanking you for your support,
CELTIC SCOOTER PROMOTIONs
